Lightweight Structure with High Load Capacity
This Aluminum Honeycomb Storage Box is constructed using aluminum honeycomb panels, consisting of two aluminum face sheets bonded to a hexagonal honeycomb core. This structure provides high strength while significantly reducing weight, making it approximately 40%–60% lighter than traditional steel storage boxes.
The material achieves a bending strength of ≥250 MPa with a very low surface density of ≤18 kg/㎡. The box has been tested under a maximum static load of 500 kg, demonstrating excellent load-bearing performance for heavy tools and industrial equipment.
IP65 Protection for Marine-Grade Sealing Performance
The storage box is designed to meet IP65 protection standards, with enclosure gaps controlled within 0.2 mm to effectively prevent seawater, moisture, and condensation from entering the interior space. This ensures reliable protection for electronic components, tools, and sensitive equipment in marine environments.
The aluminum surface undergoes advanced oxidation treatment, providing strong resistance to salt spray, humidity, and oil exposure, significantly extending service life compared to conventional steel storage solutions.
Embedded aluminum stiffeners are integrated into the top, bottom, and side panels to form a reinforced structural frame. These stiffeners are welded and mechanically bonded into the panel system, achieving joint tensile strength of ≥200 MPa.
The structure is engineered to withstand vessel movement, including tilting angles of up to 15°, ensuring stability during operation. Rounded corner reinforcements are added to improve structural strength and enhance safety by reducing sharp-edge impact risks.
